We had such an exciting and memorable weekend with 16 of the 17 adults in the Flake family.
Many thanks to Jill and Nick for making this weekend possible and to Jordan's parents who planned and provided for all the fun activities.
On Thursday we drove up the the Flake's to meet up with Jordan's siblings. We got to meet a new niece (Clara) and see Jordan's sister for the first time since Christmas 2008. These two babies were the only kids there and Grandpa loved holding them. That night Jordan gilled some fantastic steak and we had a great dinner.
The next morning we drove up to Park City to go snow mobiling. After having lunch at Cafe Rio we drove to Kamus and went hot tubbing and swimming. We came home from that just in time to grab a quick nap and then we were off to Jordan's Uncle Forrest's house. His Aunt made us the most delicious dutch oven chicken dinner with warm chocolate cake and buckeyes for dessert. I have heard stories of her wonderful cooking and it did not dissapoint. As if we hadn't eaten enough Amanda put together a fabulous midnight chocolate fountain. (chocolate strawberries...mmm...)
The next morning we were surpised with a helicopter ride around the canyon. I was a little nervous ( I am no thrill seeker), but I was surprised at how peaceful the ride was. I loved all the views and shadows from the clouds.

After the ride the girls spent some time making necklaces embellished with beads. (no pic, but so cute) That night we got back in the cars and drove up to the Salt Lake Temple. (Nate and Hannah generously drove up from BYU and watched Wesley!) After a spiritual sealing session we ate dinner at the Roof in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.
Of course all of the funny stories and "bonding" can't be expressed in a post like this, but we had an awesome (and surprisingly uplifting) weekend.
